A few weeks ago I said I would be posting more regularly about what I find inspiring. Well, life got in the way and I didn't do such a great job. So here goes...
This weekend I had a booth of my work at the Dallas Flea and ordered a little Studio Mucci decor on etsy to grab the attention of shoppers. If you have not seen the oh-so talented work by Amina Mucciolo, then you are missing out. People were oh...ing and ah...ing over the big pink balloon with pretty, colorful tassels.
So why do I find this inspiring?
I love the way Amina takes simple materials and turns them into something beautiful, creative, and just awesome.... (She states this on her site.) And don't you kinda want to say, "Now why didn't I think of that?" But it's in the details like the fiber of the cord which attaches the tassels to the balloon and the tight, seamless twists in the tassels. These delicate materials create a beautiful hand-made product. I'm looking forward to my next purchase.
